Who will be managing the group logistics on board the cruise ship?

Each ship has an onboard Group Coordinator, who will help with the events that we have blocked and planned on shore-side. Please take note that these ship coordinators are also working will all the groups on board.

You may choose to have a Pollin Group Escort serve as your group’s personal onboard “Services Manager” for a nominal fee, Our Escort will oversee your entire program from embarkation to debarkation and all daily events in between, review your master accounts, and much more. This allows all of your staff to enjoy the cruise, attend meetings and participate in all activities. This is part of the Pollin Group Advantage.

Pollin Group can provide a Group Escort for your organization’s cruise meeting/event. Spending on the type of event and number of cabins booked, this may be provided at not additional cost.

What is the largest capacity for a general session?

Cruise ships can accommodate group meeting spaces from 2 – 1,500 people.

Are the meeting facilities multi-use?

Meeting rooms can be set up in all different styles; e.g., boardroom, theater, classroom, u-shape and more. Capacity of the meeting rooms will vary depending on setup. Meeting rooms can be used for a cocktail parties. Lounges aboard the ship also offer a relaxing, beautiful and comfortable environment.

What are the standard services for all group meetings?

All groups will have free meeting space and basic A/V equipment. Amenities such as cocktail parties and champagne in cabins can be negotiated at no additional charge. These items may vary on different ships and different sailings.

Is wireless internet available?

All cruise lines have wireless internet packages available for purchase on their ships, and all of them will have internet cafés. Cell phones can be used on most ships, and internet roaming charges may apply.

Can Pollin Group arrange audio/visual set up, room decor and/or signage for the meeting/event?

For standard AV set up, there is no charge. For advance set-up, cruise lines offer AV technicians for a fee.

Room decor such as table skirting, flowers, signage, can be arranged with the cruise line in advance. Clients can also bring their own decorations on board, if they do not interfere with the décor of the ship.

Is there a Business Center on the ship?

All cruise lines have an Internet Café which provides use of a computer or you may Faxes are through the Purser’s Desk. If a large amount of copies is required, it is recommended that this be completed at your organization and shipped to cruise line. For large copies needs while onboard, copy rentals can be arranged with cruise line.

Your group can add additional activities and items to enhance their program, such as:

  • Delivery of cabin gifts
  • Soda and Alcohol packages
  • Dining in specialty restaurants

What do you charge for these services?

Charges are nominal and vary from cruise line to cruise line.

Is the catering department in charge of room set up for meal functions?

All meals will take place in the dining room. Tables for a group can be set up in the same section of the dining rooms so that the group will eat together. Some of the newer ships have private dining areas that may be requested. Menus on a ship are already planned for you. Every night you will be offered a variety of choices. There is always a beef, chicken, fish, vegetarian and low-calorie selection. The clients are not limited to just one choice. They can order two or three entrees if they choose. The menu also offers several appetizers and salad
choices, as well as good selection of desserts.
